New Program Announcement

RN to Bachelor of Science in nursing program through Excelsior College!

Indianapolis, Ind.—Excelsior College® and The College Network™ have collaborated to offer registered nurses an opportunity to advance their education through an RN to Bachelor of Science in nursing program. The program is designed to transition diploma- and associate’s degree-prepared registered nurses into bachelor’s degree-prepared nurses with the background and experience needed to deliver improved patient care across a variety of settings. The program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).

“With the assistance of The College Network, Excelsior is providing RNs with the flexibility and mobility to earn their bachelor’s degrees and remain competitive in an increasingly more demanding job market,” said John Ebersole, president and CEO of Excelsior College. “This program positions RNs to advance their careers in a variety of roles in the health care industry, especially as more employers are seeking bachelor’s degree-prepared RNs to fill positions.”

This program provides learners with an efficient way to earn their degrees entirely through distance learning. Using The College Network’s Comprehensive Learning Module™ (CLM™) program, learners can earn college credit by passing credit-by-examination exams (up to 68 credits). CLMs are available online and enable learners to complete work at a more independent pace than most campus-based programs. Learners then complete their Bachelor of Science in nursing program with Excelsior College through a combination of examinations and online courses with community-based projects—earning their degrees from Excelsior College.

“We are proud to work with Excelsior College’s School of Nursing, which celebrates a tradition of distance learning excellence,” said Gary Eyler, chairman and CEO of The College Network. “We share a common commitment to make educational solutions affordable and accessible for working adults.”
