The American Association for Long Term Care Nursing Partners with The College Network to Promote Educational Opportunities

Indianapolis, Ind.—The American Association for Long Term Care Nursing (AALTCN) is partnering with The College Network™ to help its members enhance their skills and scope of practice through continued education. The College Network’s online degree completion programs will enable AALTCN members to advance their education at their own pace from the convenience of home—saving them time, travel, and money.

“We are excited that nurses who want to achieve higher education can do so in a manner that is compatible with the realities of their work and family commitments,” offered AALTCN’s Executive Director Charlotte Eliopoulos. “Our membership represents nurses who have demonstrated a commitment to their specialty, and to afford them the opportunity to obtain college degrees in a flexible, convenient manner honors their unique capacities as adult learners and assists in retaining them in long term care nursing.”

AALTCN is the only association that unites and serves all levels of long-term care nursing staff including nursing administrators, LPNs, CNAs, MDS coordinators, GNPs, staff development educators, and more. Their focus on education, creation of community, and advocacy for all members of the nursing department fosters improvements in recruitment, retention, and self-image of nursing staff. To help long-term care nursing reach new levels, the AALTCN defines and advances core competencies and unique practice guidelines. The AALTCN understands the importance of continued education and the link it has on the uniqueness of care. The AALTCN provides more education than any other professional nursing organization in long-term care.

“The College Network is pleased to partner with the American Association for Long Term Care Nursing to provide their membership with the means to continue their education and make a positive impact in the communities they serve,” said Gary Eyler, Chairman and CEO of The College Network. “We are dedicated to making educational solutions affordable and accessible—helping long-term care nursing professionals to ensure the well-being of their careers and profession.”
