Indianapolis, Ind.—The National Association of EMS Educators (NAEMSE), based in Pittsburgh, has joined forces with The College Network, Inc. to offer its members opportunities to further their education. This relationship now gives NAEMSE access to degree completion programs from accredited universities at reduced costs.
“NAEMSE is an organization committed to providing educational opportunities relevant to EMS personnel,” said Joann Freel, Executive Director of NAEMSE. “By partnering with The College Network, we are providing our members access to online degree completion programs through major universities.”
As an advocate for the emergency medical services industry, NAEMSE strives to provide educational resources for its constituency. NAEMSE values the role that education plays in developing the skills of EMS professionals to ensure the best practices and create viable career paths.
“We are proud to partner with the National Association of EMS Educators to provide convenient online programs to EMS professionals with busy and often irregular schedules,” said Gary Eyler, Chairman and CEO of The College Network. “The programs we offer will help EMS professionals to ensure the well-being of their careers and provide them with the skills necessary to effectively address the needs of the communities they serve.”
The College Network partners with several of the nation’s foremost institutions of higher learning, such as The George Washington University, Indiana State University, Regis University, Bellevue University, and Indiana University, to provide college degree programs through distance learning to working adults.
Learners begin by using The College Network’s online Comprehensive Learning Modules (CLMs) to earn college credit for general education and prerequisite courses by passing end-of-course college equivalency exams, such as CLEP®, DSST®, and the Excelsior College® Examination. Credits earned by passing these exams are then transferred to a partner university, where learners complete their degrees online—saving time and money. The College Network offers NAEMSE members a total learning solution that includes the following:
- Programs designed for EMS professionals
- Free course analysis
- Prestigious accredited university partners
- No classroom attendance
- Personalized academic support (available fifteen hours per day, Monday – Friday)
