Regis University has partnered with The College Network to offer an undergraduate degree through a convenient blended learning format. Our blended learning format consists of independent study and online learning making it possible to continue your education without altering your lifestyle or sacrificing your career.
Use The College Network’s Comprehensive Learning Module program to earn college credit (“test out”) for prerequisite and general education courses (up to 62 of the 67 credit hours) by passing end-of-course college equivalency exams such as CLEP®, DSST®, or the Excelsior College® Examination. Then complete your degree online with Regis University.
The HIM degree prepares students for the demands of a growing health care field. It is estimated that more than 47,000 new HIM professionals will be needed next year. It prepares graduates to work with applications systems and manage electronic health information databases. Aware of the importance of information accuracy, privacy and security, HIM professionals may be involved in ensuring that the design and use of information systems support patient safety. They work with nurses, physicians and other health care providers in a variety of settings such as hospitals, physician practices, long-term-care facilities, home health care agencies, insurance and managed care organizations, and government agencies.
Upon completing the HIM program, graduates are eligible to sit for the national Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) credential exam.
